The ON Semiconductor CAT93C86 16Kb Microwire Serial EEPROM is a memory device configured as a 16-bit (ORG pin connected to VCC) or 8-bit (ORG pin connected to ground) register. Each register can be written (or read) serially through the DI (or DO) pin. The ON Semiconductor CAT93C86 is manufactured using advanced CMOS EEPROM floating gate technology. The device is designed to withstand 1 million program/erase cycles and has a data retention period of 100 years. The device is available in 8-pin DIP and 8-pin SOIC packages.
